Abidjan: Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara received, on Thursday at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan, Morocco’s new Ambassador to C´te d’Ivoire, Othmane El Ferdaous, who presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of C´te d’Ivoire.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Moroccan diplomat conveyed to the Ivorian Head of State the High Greetings of King Mohammed VI, along with the Sovereign’s sincere wishes for continued progress and prosperity for C´te d’Ivoire and for the further strengthening of the longstanding ties binding the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
El Ferdaous praised the quality of Moroccan-Ivorian relations, noting that beyond the ties between the two Heads of State, the Moroccan and Ivorian peoples share deep cultural and human bonds. The diplomat also highlighted the multidimensional nature of the partnership between the two countries, which encompasses security, cultural, religious, financial, academic, scientific, technical, humanitarian, and social fields.
El Ferdaous further commended C´te d’Ivoire’s development efforts through its 2026-2030 National Development Plan, reaffirming the Kingdom’s readiness to contribute to its implementation. In this regard, he reiterated Morocco’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with C´te d’Ivoire in the economic, security, political, diplomatic, cultural, and social spheres, with a view to consolidating the relations between the two countries.
