Morocco: Moroccan women’s national football team head coach Jorge Vilda unveiled on Friday a list of 26 players selected for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled in Morocco from July 25 to August 16. Morocco has been placed in Group A alongside Senegal, Algeria, and Kenya.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the squad includes a mix of goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards, each bringing their skills to the team. The goalkeepers selected for the tournament are Khadija Er-Rmichi, Ines Arouaissa, and Fatima-Zahra El Jebraoui. In defense, the team will be strengthened by Hanane Ait El Haj, Zineb Redouani, Aziza Rabbah, Siham Boukhami, Rania Boutiebi, Nouhaila Benzina, Maryame Atiq, and Nesryne El Chad.
The midfielders named in the squad include Soumia Hady, Ghizlane Chebbak, Najat Badri, Hajar Said, Yasmin-Katie M’Rabet, and Elodie Nahla Nakkach. The forwards who will lead the attack for Morocco are Kenza Chapelle, Imane Saoud, Kautar Azraf, Jade Nassi, Fatima Tagnaout, Sakin
