Rabat: Morocco plays a leading role in enhancing regional peace and stability, the Republic of Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, stated on Thursday in Rabat. Morocco, with its highly effective security systems, has established itself as a country committed to enhancing regional peace and stability, Okudzeto Ablakwa stressed during a joint press briefing held following talks with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Ghanaian minister expressed admiration for the leadership and the strong commitment of HM King Mohammed VI to peace, stability, and development in Africa. Ablakwa praised the security cooperation prospects with Morocco and voiced concern about the increasing threat of terrorism and violent extremism, which threaten all of Africa.
The Ghanaian diplomat also highlighted potential cooperation in food security with Morocco, recognizing Morocco’s competitive edge in agriculture, agribusiness, and fertilizer production. He applauded the contribution of Moroccan expertise in identifying the fertilizers best suited to Ghana’s soils and crops.
