Rabat: Morocco reiterated, on Sunday at the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), its commitment to enabling Africa to build its own model of climate resilience.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during the presentation of the AU Heads of State and Government Committee’s report on climate change, the Moroccan delegation reiterated the Kingdom’s active commitment to strengthening African efforts to combat the effects of climate change. This commitment is inspired by the Royal initiatives launched at the first African Action Summit, which have fostered the emergence of strategic partnerships in the fight against the harmful effects of climate change.
The Moroccan delegation also stressed the need for financial and technical support to ensure the success of continental initiatives in this field, while praising the efforts of the Kenyan President in his capacity as coordinator of the above-mentioned Committee.
