Rabat: Morocco stands out as a “serious, reliable, and fully committed” partner in managing migratory flows and combating irregular migration, emphasized Jérôme Besnard, a law professor at the University of Paris-Cité.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Besnard highlighted Morocco’s consistent efforts to minimize illegal crossings into Sebta through close cooperation with European partners and the mobilization of human and operational resources.
Besnard noted that Morocco’s effectiveness cannot be judged solely by isolated operations. Instead, it is part of a broader system of continuous monitoring and anticipation. This system enables Moroccan security services to keep track of flow evolutions, identify new risks, and adapt their methods accordingly.
He further explained that tackling irregular migration and human trafficking requires a collective effort, not just the actions of a single entity. It is a transnational challenge that necessitates coordinated mobilization from all parties involved.
S
hared responsibility should manifest through each party’s commitment, effective execution of promises, and operational cooperation matching the challenges faced.
