According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the first book, titled ‘The Kingdom of Morocco and Brazil: A Secular Relationship, a Lasting Friendship,’ was released by the Moroccan Embassy in Brasilia to commemorate the 20th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s landmark visit to Brazil. This 152-page volume, available in Arabic, French, and Portuguese, provides a comprehensive retrospective of over 150 years of interactions between the two nations. It features photographs, documents, and manuscripts that capture pivotal moments, such as the 2004 royal visit which established a strategic partnership, as well as historic events like the rescue of the Brazilian ship Dona Isabella near Tangier in 1860 and the establishment of the Moroccan Jewish community in Brazil during the rubber boom era.

The book further delves into the enduring diplomatic relations and shared cultural and human heritage, including the founding of Nova Mazagao in Amap¡ and the Moroccan contributions to Brazilian arts and the Rio Carnival.

The second book, ‘Morocco-Brazil Relations: A Multidimensional Atlantic Partnership,’ was published by the Policy Center for the New South. It is composed in Portuguese and English and authored by 14 Moroccan and Brazilian academics. Spanning 182 pages, the work delves into the multifaceted aspects of cooperation between the two nations.
