Zagreb: The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Croatia have reiterated their commitment to bolstering their comprehensive long-term partnership, originally established in 2019. The announcement was made following discussions in Zagreb between Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlic Radman, and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Joint Declaration issued after the talks emphasized the mutual determination of both nations to enhance their partnership and further deepen cooperation in economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, and interpersonal areas. The ministers highlighted the importance of organizing economic forums to facilitate exchanges between economic players from both countries.
The agreement also underscored the significance of promoting cooperation in cultural and academic fields to advance human and economic development. Both parties acknowledged the strategic partnership between Morocco and the EU and advocated for continued dialogue to strengthen this relationship.
Additionally, the ministers emphasized the necessity of developing cooperation, partnership, and dialogue between the EU, its southern neighborhood, and the Euro-African area. They recognized the positive roles of Morocco and Croatia in promoting stability, security, and peace in their regions, reaffirming their commitment to the UN Charter’s principles and the peaceful resolution of conflicts with respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
The two nations expressed their shared commitment to deepening dialogue and bilateral cooperation on regional and international issues of common interest and addressing major strategic challenges.
