Croatia Applauds Morocco’s Reforms and Initiatives Under King Mohammed VI’s Leadership


Zagreb: The Republic of Croatia praised the large-scale reforms undertaken by the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, noting the renewed efforts for political, economic, and social development of the Kingdom.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in a Joint Declaration following a meeting in Zagreb between Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlic Radman, and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, Croatia welcomed Morocco’s progress, particularly the New Development Model and Advanced Regionalization, as well as sustainable development initiatives in the Kingdom.



Croatia also expressed considerable interest in the Atlantic Initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the African continent. These include the ‘African Atlantic States Process’ Initiative, the ‘Royal International Initiative to promote access to the Atlantic Ocean for Sahel countries’, and the ‘African Atlantic Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project.’



These initiatives are designed to establish the African Atlantic space as a geostrategic framework that fosters intra-African development while promoting stability and prosperity across Africa, as indicated in the Joint Declaration.



Furthermore, both nations emphasized the positive and constructive roles played by Morocco and Croatia in maintaining stability, security, and peace in their respective regions. They reaffirmed their commitment to the fundamental universal principles of the UN Charter and the necessity for peaceful conflict resolution, respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states, in accordance with international law.



In this context, Croatia commended Morocco’s role as a regional pillar of stability and a catalyst for growth and development across Africa.
