Rabat: In a statement, the CNDH emphasized that this demonstrates that Moroccans, both protesters and law enforcement, have succeeded in implementing an interpretation of the right to peaceful assembly in line with human rights, as a shared responsibility between protest organizers and public authorities. This has resulted in a perfect balance between maintaining public order, preserving private and public property, and ensuring the exercise of the right to peaceful assembly.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Council added that the protests, through their collective and peaceful expression, reflected over the past two days good practices by both the organizers and the law enforcement authorities, which ensured the peaceful nature of the gatherings.
Moreover, the CNDH noted that emerging forms of digital expression were also part of this peaceful dynamic, constituting another achievement for Morocco’s democratic and human rights process.
