First International Forum to Enhance Integrity in Tourism Sector Concludes Successfully


Riyadh: The first international forum aimed at promoting integrity within the tourism sector has concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, organized by Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) in partnership with the Republic of Maldives and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), witnessed broad participation from Islamic countries and international organizations specialized in combating corruption.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the forum’s closing session featured Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary General of the OIC, who participated actively in the proceedings. The event, held on May 6-7, 2025, brought together more than 190 officials and experts from 50 countries. Participants included representatives from governmental bodies, international, and regional organizations focused on combating corruption and promoting integrity in tourism.

The Vice President of the Republic of Maldives was among the notable attendees, underscoring the high-level engagement and
commitment toward addressing corruption in the tourism sector. Mr. Taha expressed gratitude to the Saudi and Maldivian authorities for their pivotal role in bolstering the OIC’s efforts to enhance integrity in tourism.
