Germany Commends Morocco’s Reforms and Regional Role Under King Mohammed VI


Rabat: German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has expressed approval for the reforms undertaken by the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He emphasized their vital role in advancing the country’s political, economic, and social development.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a joint declaration was adopted following the second session of the Morocco-Germany Multidimensional Strategic Dialogue, held in Rabat between Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita and his German counterpart. The declaration highlighted the progress made under the New Development Model for the benefit of all Moroccan citizens.



The German Foreign Minister praised Morocco’s active and constructive role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in promoting peace and stability at both regional and international levels. He acknowledged the Sovereign’s personal engagement as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee and the Royal Initiatives supporting African continent development.



He further stated that Morocco, under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, is a key strategic partner of the European Union, NATO, and Germany in Africa. The Kingdom is seen as a crucial link between the North and the South due to its constructive role and significant contribution to regional stability and international cooperation.



German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul also acknowledged the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts in combating terrorism and irregular migration.
