Israel resumes aerial and artillery strikes on southern Lebanon


BEIRUT: Israeli occupation forces resumed their airstrikes and artillery bombardment early this morning targeting several villages and towns in southern Lebanon. No casualties have been reported.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike, targeting a private-owned cooperative ow located on the outskirts of the village of Tayr Harfa.

The attack resulted in significant damage to the building and the destruction of a large quantity of the cooperative’s contents, in addition to causing damage to neighboring structures.

Over the last night, Israeli occupation forces launched a number of heavy artillery shells on the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Yarin, Jebbayn, Dhayra, and on the mountains of Labouna and Al Alam in southern Lebanon.

As of this morning, Israeli reconnaissance drones have been flying over villages in the western and central south of the country, extending to the Litani River, and the bordering villages adjacent to the Blue Line in the south.
