Minister Spotlights in Beijing Morocco’s Investment Opportunities for Chinese Companies

Beijing: Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies Karim Zidane highlighted on Sunday in Beijing the vast opportunities Morocco offers to Chinese companies, inviting them to increase their investments and take full advantage of the incentives and support mechanisms established by the Kingdom.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during talks with Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Ren Hongbin, Zidane reaffirmed his department’s full commitment to supporting Chinese companies in implementing their investment projects in Morocco through a transparent, competitive, and business-friendly environment.

The Minister emphasized that the meeting builds on the momentum generated by high-level exchanges between Morocco and China, providing an opportunity to further strengthen economic cooperation and explore new avenues for mutually beneficial partnerships.

Zidane underscored China’s status as a key economic partner of Morocco, recalling that bilateral relations are rooted in the strategic partnership established in 2016, which marked a major milestone in cooperation between the two countries.

He also noted that Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, has undertaken a series of reforms aimed at enhancing economic competitiveness and consolidating its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.

Zidane further pointed out that China ranks among Morocco’s leading foreign investors, with foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows estimated at around MAD 2 billion in 2025, reflecting the growing confidence of Chinese economic operators in the Kingdom’s business environment.

Against this backdrop, he called on Chinese companies to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the Investment Charter by developing high-value-added projects integrated into regional and global value chains.

Zidane further emphasized the potential of the Morocco-China-Africa trilateral partnership, describing it as a strategic driver for accelerating industrialization across the African continent and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation.

The talks took place on the sidelines of Morocco’s participation in the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), being held in Beijing from June 22 to 26 under the theme ‘Connecting the World for a Shared Future.’

Organized by the CCPIT, the event is widely regarded as the world’s first national-level exhibition dedicated exclusively to supply chains, bringing together more than 1,200 companies and organizations from 85 countries and regions.
