Rabat: In a statement, the King’s Prosecutor said that investigations revealed that the suspect had posted photos and videos of protests in foreign countries that had experienced acts of violence, linking them to protests in Morocco in order to incite people to take to the streets on September 27 and 28, 2025.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the investigations showed that the individual in question aimed to gather as many followers as possible. He was able to reach 4,000 followers on his social media account in just three days, knowing that his goal was to gather 20,000 followers, a number that would allow him to create a digital platform.
The individual in question also stated that he was not interested in calling for protests, but rather sought to gather as many followers as possible and generate financial income from this operation.
An examination of the individual’s personal computer revealed a series of video clips of past and recent sit-ins in certain foreign countries, which he exploited, edited, and reposted on his social media accounts in order to gain more views and followers.
Given the seriousness of the acts committed, the person concerned was taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation. They were brought before the public prosecutor, who decided to prosecute them for alleged incitement to commit crimes and offenses using electronic means, followed by action. The individual subsequently appeared before the court in custody.
