Rabat: In a press briefing following the meeting, Mustapha Baitas, Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesman, said that the convention, inked on December 12, 2024, in Rabat, and the draft law no. 24.25 approving it, were presented by Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the convention aims to facilitate the transfer of convicts between Morocco and Kazakhstan, allowing individuals sentenced in one country to serve their sentences in their home country. By approving this convention, the Moroccan government underscores its dedication to fostering partnerships that contribute to mutual understanding and shared responsibilities in the realm of justice and law enforcement.
