Marrakech: The 2025 edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival will feature some of the most notable figures in contemporary global cinema. South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho, known for his work on Parasite, which won the Palme d’Or and four Academy Awards, and Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, winner of three Oscars including two for The Shape of Water, are among the participants.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the “Conversations” program will also include Australian director Andrew Dominik, US actor and director Laurence Fishburne, and US actor and director Jodie Foster, who has won two Oscars for Best Actress. Indian filmmaker Karan Johar, a significant figure in Bollywood, is also set to participate.
Additional participants include Bill Kramer, CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Lebanese director Nadine Labaki, Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Iranian director Jafar Panahi. French actor Tahar Rahim and Egyptian actress Yousra will also be prese
