Morocco and Belgium Aim to Strengthen Strategic Partnership


Brussels: Morocco and Belgium have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic and multidimensional partnership during a recent meeting in Brussels. This commitment was articulated in discussions between Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Maxime Pr©vot.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, both officials praised the robust political dialogue between Rabat and Brussels, which has been characterized by intensified exchanges and the establishment of a bilateral Roadmap by the High Joint Commission in April 2024. This roadmap sets the stage for future cooperation between the two nations.



Economically, Morocco and Belgium emphasized the importance of elevating their relationship by jointly developing technological value chains and promoting sustainable investments in strategic sectors such as green hydrogen, energy transition, infrastructure, and innovation. The ministers underscored the need to enhance economic ties to a higher level.



Additionally, Bourita and Pr©vot highlighted the complementarity of Moroccan and Belgian visions in areas such as cooperation, regional security, and human development. They confirmed their dedication to collaborating for stability and shared prosperity between their continents.
