Morocco and Eswatini Strengthen Bilateral Relations in Line with Royal Vision


Rabat: Morocco’s Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, has announced a positive shift in bilateral relations between Morocco and the Kingdom of Eswatini. This comes as part of the Royal Vision aimed at enhancing South-South cooperation based on solidarity and co-development principles.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Bourita expressed satisfaction with the fraternal ties between the leaders and peoples of both nations. He highlighted the constructive political dialogue and cooperation that has been fostered between the two countries. The Kingdom of Morocco appreciates Eswatini’s supportive stance on Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, particularly concerning its Southern provinces.



During a press briefing with Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Pholile Dlamini Shakantu, Bourita emphasized the commitment of both nations to bolster their bilateral cooperation. He recalled recent agreements in areas such as youth, justice, diplomatic visas, and training in diplomacy and tourism.



Bourita also mentioned the shared objective of unifying positions at the African Union level, underscoring the importance of respecting state sovereignty and ensuring stability and sustainable development. The inauguration of the Morocco-Eswatini Joint Cooperation Commission is seen as a pivotal moment in the bilateral relationship, with both countries eager to explore opportunities to advance their relations to meet the aspirations of their respective leaders.
