Dusseldorf: Morocco was honored Tuesday evening in Dusseldorf during the “Konsularischer Abend” (Consular Evening), an event organized by the “Dusseldorfer Jonges” association in an atmosphere combining diplomacy, culture, and intercultural dialogue.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event unfolded in two parts. The first, held at the city’s Maritime Museum (SchifffahrtMuseum), brought together around fifty personalities from diplomatic, political, religious, and civil society circles. The second, hosted at the HenkelSaal, gathered nearly 270 guests, mainly business leaders and decision-makers from North Rhine-Westphalia.
The event, which celebrated the Kingdom in a colorful and festive atmosphere, provided a further illustration of the shared determination of Morocco and Germany to further strengthen their diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.
On this occasion, Morocco’s Consul General in Dusseldorf, Boutaina Bouabid, highlighted the strength and depth of Moroccan-German relations, noting that the gathering forms part of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Berlin.
The evening was attended by the Secretary-General of the Department in charge of Moroccans Living Abroad, Ismail Lamghari, who praised the excellence of Moroccan-German cooperation and underscored the significant contribution of the Moroccan community in Germany to strengthening the bonds of friendship and partnership between the two countries.
For his part, the representative of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), Ahmed Zouhir, presented Morocco’s tourism assets, highlighting the richness of its heritage, the diversity of its landscapes, the vibrancy of its culture, and the dynamism of the Kingdom’s tourism sector, which has established itself over the years as a destination of excellence.
The “Konsularischer Abend” also featured the screening of an institutional film showcasing Morocco’s achievements in the automotive industry and renewable energy sectors, as well as the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom, particularly in its southern provinces.
Participants also attended a caftan fashion show, a true symbol of Morocco’s rich heritage, as well as a Gnawa music performance, offering guests an authentic glimpse into the richness and diversity of Moroccan culture.
