Rabat: The signing of an agreement for Morocco’s participation in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza underscores His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East, and demonstrates his unwavering support for the Palestinian people, as stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita in Rabat.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the agreement, inked between Morocco and the Board of Peace, follows the Very High Instructions of His Majesty the King. Bourita emphasized that this signing primarily reflects the commitment of King Mohammed VI, the Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to fostering peace and stability in the Middle East, alongside his support for the Palestinian populace.
Morocco’s involvement in the ISF aligns with the ongoing efforts of His Majesty the King, who, as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has consistently supported the Palestinian people. Bourita highlighted that the Royal Vision is focused on delivering concrete solutions through tangible and pragmatic contributions, while adhering to Morocco’s long-standing and principled positions.
In past initiatives, the King’s efforts have been manifest through the provision of humanitarian aid by Morocco, under High Royal Instructions, which included hundreds of tons of essential supplies and medical equipment delivered to Gaza via a unique land corridor exclusively negotiated and utilized by Morocco.
Bourita also noted the ongoing contributions of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, operating under the Sovereign’s Very High Instructions, to support the Palestinian people. The Agency implements various programs, such as building and renovating schools, supporting hospitals in East Al-Quds, providing scholarships to Palestinian students, caring for Al-Quds orphans, and funding income-generating activities for families in need.
Reaffirming the Kingdom of Morocco’s steadfast position, Bourita reiterated its support for the two-State solution: establishing a Palestinian State within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Al-Quds as its capital, coexisting peacefully and securely with Israel.
