Paris: Morocco is experiencing a “remarkable development boom” under the visionary leadership of His Majesty the King, according to the Vice-President of the French National Assembly, Moutchou. In an interview with MAP-Paris, Moutchou commended Morocco’s ability to blend tradition with modernity, making it a model for other nations in a turbulent global landscape. The Vice-President highlighted the Kingdom’s institutional stability and significant progress in healthcare, education, energy transition, and security.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Moutchou emphasized that Throne Day symbolizes not just an institutional event, but also a moment of national pride for Moroccans witnessing their country’s stable and prosperous evolution. She also remarked on the unprecedented phase in Franco-Moroccan relations, describing it as a new narrative rather than just a new chapter. The strengthened partnership between the two nations opens up vast opportunities across various sectors.
The Vice-President announced that France supports Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara, indicating a forward momentum in relations with the Southern Provinces. France’s commitment extends to promoting this agenda at both European and international levels, with parliamentary diplomacy playing a crucial role. Additionally, plans are underway for an inter-parliamentary forum in Morocco, slated for the end of the year, which aims to bolster legislative collaboration.
Moutchou also commented on Morocco’s co-organization of the 2030 World Cup, calling it a “natural and common sense” decision, given Morocco’s advanced infrastructure and strong football culture. She expressed her hope that France will assist Morocco in overcoming challenges associated with hosting the event, further solidifying its status as a nation capable of managing major global events.
