Senegal Applauds UN Resolution Supporting Moroccan Autonomy Plan for Sahara

Rabat: Senegal has lauded the United Nations Security Council’s historic adoption of Resolution 2797, which emphasizes the preeminence of Morocco’s autonomy plan for the Sahara region under its sovereignty. This announcement was made in a Joint Communiqu© on Monday, following a meeting between Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and Senegal’s Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Cheikh Niang, who is on an official visit to Morocco.
