Washington: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, took part, on Wednesday in Washington, in a ministerial meeting on critical minerals.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting was organized by US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and aimed to discuss solutions to secure and diversify critical minerals supply chains. The opening session was attended by US Vice-President, JD Vance.
Discussions during the meeting centered on investments in critical minerals and the implementation of price floor mechanisms. Participants also initiated the ‘Forum on Geostrategic Engagement in the Minerals and Resources Sector.’
The gathering brought together foreign ministers and senior officials from over 50 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, France, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Norway, Sweden, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Australia.
