Rabat: Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachi Talbi Alami engaged in discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdel Aaty in Rabat. The dialogue centered on the crucial role of parliamentary diplomacy in fortifying the relationship between the legislative bodies of Morocco and Egypt.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the talks emphasized the significant projects initiated by Morocco under the guidance of HM King Mohammed VI. The discussions also recognized the deep-seated historical, cultural, and diplomatic connections between the two nations, which are built on principles of mutual respect and understanding. Additionally, there was a focus on maintaining coordination at various levels while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and avoiding interference in their internal matters.
The discussions further highlighted the essential role of both bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties in enhancing cooperation between Morocco and Egypt. This includes the sharing of parliamentary experiences, mutual visits, coordination in regional and international parliamentary forums, and exploring opportunities for sustained communication between the legislative institutions and parliamentarians of both countries.
The meeting included participation from notable figures such as Sherif El-Gabaly, Chairman of the African Affairs Committee at the Egyptian Parliament, Ahmed Nehad Abdellatif, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Morocco, along with various officials and administrative executives from both sides.
