Rabat: Morocco has taken a significant step in bolstering the rights of journalists with the approval of Bill No. 27.25, which amends and supplements Law No. 89.13. This legislation, presented by Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, seeks to enhance legal protections for media professionals while ensuring that national laws align with Morocco’s constitutional commitments to freedom of expression and its international human rights obligations. Government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas highlighted these objectives during a press briefing after the legislative meeting.
