Morocco’s Commitment to Africa Highlighted Amid AFCON 2025 Success

Brussels: His Majesty King Mohammed VI reiterated that Morocco’s commitment to Africa is deeply rooted in a long-term vision based on solidarity, mutual respect, and co-construction, emphasized Geoffroy Generet, honorary president of the Cercle Royal Gaulois.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Royal Office statement expressed the King’s gratitude to all components of the Nation who contributed to the success of the event, fitting within a historical and political coherence. Generet noted that the engagement transcends sporting emotion, focusing on values, shared destinies, and collective responsibility. Morocco is seen as a partner that supports development dynamics, invests in people, and acts loyally.

Generet, also secretary general of the ‘La Renaissance Fran§aise’ Foundation, mentioned that the Royal Office’s statement contrasts with attempts to discredit and reaffirms Africa’s path through cooperation. He highlighted that this AFCON edition will be a major milestone in African football and Morocco’s international positioning.

The success was evident in sporting terms, organization, and logistics, Generet stated, with Morocco demonstrating capacities meeting international standards while maintaining authenticity. The event was a showcase of Morocco’s model based on a long-term Royal Vision, focusing on African unity supported by Moroccan hospitality.

Generet considered the success of AFCON 2025 a catalyst for Morocco’s capability to undertake global projects while remaining true to its African identity. The prospect of co-hosting the 2030 World Cup aligns with Morocco’s vision as a strategic bridge offering Africa enhanced visibility and credibility.

Under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, Morocco aims not just to shine but to lead the continent in progress. This capacity to unite and act consistently positions Morocco as a respected African leader.
