Tan-Tan: A Royal Navy patrol boat intercepted, on Monday, 118 km north-west of the port of Tan-Tan, an inflatable boat carrying 41 would-be illegal immigrants.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the individuals rescued, of sub-Saharan origin, were hoping to reach the Canary Islands, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces said in a press release.
They received first aid on board, before being brought safely back to the Port of Tan-Tan and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, the same source added.
